Hong Kong born and raised. After graduating from Camberwell College of Arts (UAL) I remained in London and held a number of digital design-related roles, culminating the last 7+ years specialising in Product Design (UI & UX) in the utilities industry and financial services.

Meet ping

Ping, my little visual assistant, is dotted throughout my portfolio and is the basis for my logo as well. In Cantonese, the word for "apple" (蘋果) is pronounced pìng gwó. The first character, 蘋 (pìng), is a homophone for the character 平 (pìng), which means peace or tranquility. Great design and a sense of peace are closely linked because truly thoughtful design:

  • removes confusion
  • reduces friction
  • brings harmony to the things we interact with

By stripping away the unnecessary and improving clarity, balance, and intention, great designers create experiences that feel intuative and calming. Plus, who couldn't use a bit more peace in their life? Credit: Icon set by Kim Sun Young
